Wildflower Women's Foundation Offers Grants and Scholarships to Women in Transition

Educational, Financial, and Legal assistance offered by Wildflower Women's Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting women and families in the transitions of divorce and widowhood.

LITTLETON, CO, April 14, 2011 /Post Graduate PR News/ -- Wildflower Women's Foundation understands the harsh realities faced by women after the loss of a partner. Divorced women can expect to see their financial status reduced by about 73% in the year following their divorce. Widowed women can expect to see a 21% reduction in their disposable income following the death of a spouse.

In order to compensate for this shift,.previously unemployed women must enter the work force, and those women who are already employed, frequently need to substantially increase their income. With tuition costs on the rise, there is no question that this will create additional financial strain.

"Every phone call we receive is heartbreaking," said Joan Rogliano Founder of Wildflower Women's Foundation. "We have received calls from women living in their cars with their children, or needing help with legal fees to break free from an abusive marriage. One woman had gone through a divorce, started school, and then couldn't pay her tuition."

Wildflower Women's Foundation, now has funding available for educational, financial and legal scholarships and grants. To make application for a grant or scholarship, or to donate to the scholarship fund, please visit their website, www.wildflowerwomensfoundation.org. You may also email Joan Rogliano at joan@wildlfowerwomensfoundation.org for more information.

The Wildflower Women's Foundation's mission is to support women and families going thorough the transitions of divorce and widowhood by providing educational, legal and financial advocacy, with a strong community network.
