Dr. Ross Ungerleider Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Dr. Ross Ungerleider was featured on CNN for excellence in the health care industry
CLEVELAND, OH, August 27, 2010 /Post Graduate PR News/ -- Dr. Ross Ungerleider, Professor at Brenner Children's Hospital at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.
Dr. Ungerleider has 25 years of overall professional experience. As a professor at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, he directs the pediatric heart program, performs pediatric heart surgeries, and teaches residents in cardiac surgery. In 2006, he earned his Master of Business Administration from The University of Tennessee, where he was the Valedictorian. He earned his MD in 1977 from Rush Medical College, and his Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University.
The former president of the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, Dr. Ungerleider is a member of the Southern Surgical Association, the American Surgical Association, and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery. Additionally, he is a member of the Congenital Heart Surgeons' Society, The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and the Western Thoracic Surgical Association.
In 2008, Dr. Ungerleider received the hero award from the Saving Tiny Hearts Society. He received the Sir James Carrerras Humanitarian Award in 2000, and the Best Heart Surgeons in America in 1996 from Good Housekeeping.
