Dr. Sandra Hatch Recognized for Excellence in Education
Sandra Hatch, MD, has been recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America
GALVESTON, TX, December 10, 2010 /Post Graduate PR News/ -- Dr. Sandra Hatch, Professor and Vice Chairman of Department of Radiation Oncology at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medicine.
With 19 years of field experience, Dr. Hatch serves as a professor at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She has become proficient in overseeing all of the clinical operations at the university and its satellite locations. She also practices radiation oncology, and specializes in breast and gynecology malignancies. She has received endowments from Ruth Levy Kempner, and Irma Labardini Mendoza and Jesse Jesus Mendoza.
Dr. Hatch has completed a residency in radiation therapy at Baylor College of Medicine and an internship in transitional medical assistance at the Central Texas Medical Foundation at Brackenridge Hospital. In 1987, she received an MD from The University of Texas-Health Science Center at Houston. Furthermore, she earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from Tennessee Tech University. Dr. Hatch obtained a certification in radiation therapy from The American Board of Radiology. She is also affiliated with the International Gynecologic Cancer Society. A distinguished fellow by the Academy of Cancer Specialists, she has been honored as a leader in her field by the American Board of Oncology and by the Consumer Research Council of America.
