Victoria L. Greer Honored for Accomplishments in Education
Victoria L. Greer is pursuing a doctoral degree at Capella University
NASHVILLE, TN, November 18, 2010 /Post Graduate PR News/ -- Victoria L. Greer, Director of Exceptional Education for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
With over 10 years of professional experience, Mrs. Greer's expertise include developing strategic planning for system wide improvement. In her current position, she is responsible for development and implementation of effective curriculum for students with disabilities as well as overseeing professional development for teachers.
Mrs. Greer is the first African-American to hold the title of director of exceptional education for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. She attributes her success to the support she receives from her mentors and the people around her. She became involved in her profession through the inspiration she received from the great educators she had.
Now, Mrs. Greer is pursuing a doctoral degree at Capella University. In 2001, she received a master's degree in special education from Tennessee State University, completing an additional 30 credits. For the next five years, Mrs. Greer's goals are to complete a doctoral degree, create and implement an integrated service delivery model for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools and move into upper level administration at the district level.
