With 40 years of experience in her field, Ms. Winterberg is an expert in computer-based education and communication. As a director and instructor at Advanced Vocational Institute, she is responsible for overseeing programs that utilize student-instructor interaction and computer training. She founded the school to provide instruction on computer and health fields to teach her students the skills and discipline necessary to succeed in the workplace. A recipient of numerous awards for her excellence in service, she is committed to the continued education of individuals to prepare them for the demanding requirements that the modern business environment demands. Ms. Winterberg is an active supporter of the Joan Balagopal Foundation, which was founded by her son and helps students by providing grants for continuing education. She attributes her success to her hard work, dedication and commitment to be one of the best training facilities in her area.
Ms. Winterberg received her bachelor of arts in music and mathematics from San Jose State University in 1968. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women and hopes to expand and grow the institute nationwide.
