American International Business School doing business as AIBS Online has recently been accredited by the Open College Network in the UK to deliver classes online via local centres.

The OCN accreditation allows students to study pre-university access courses at a local educational institution and attract entrance level and advanced university academic credit in the UK.
"Education in the 21st century is changing rapidly and this is our effort to make it more accessible, affordable, and appropriate. As the price of technology falls and its availability increases around the world it is beginning to meet the increasing demand for quality education." said Professor Marshall Hall Head of School and one of the Directors of AIBS Online.
The system works through the use of local schools and private education companies who have adequate IT resources to deliver online classes. The students also have access to their classes at their home computers for study when it is convenient and allowing them to keep their employment and family responsibilities. Once a week the students gather at the school for discussions and assessments. When their studies are completed the student then is eligible to apply to a UK university for entrance or advanced standing.
